About this Speedrunning Watch template

When more than one speedrunning broadcast is on, you usually have to choose between them. This template opens two speedrunning channels together in Grid layout, each with an equal tile, so you can watch both and put the audio on whichever run you want to hear.

The channels are links to channels, not to particular broadcasts or runs. That keeps the template valid over time, but it also means StreamTiles can't tell you which of them is broadcasting right now, or what is being run. A channel that isn't broadcasting shows Twitch's offline screen.

Both channels are third-party Twitch channels, shown through Twitch's embedded player, and StreamTiles doesn't produce, host, own or control any of the video. Your own StreamTiles grid is separate from this template, so opening it doesn't change the streams you have saved.

Making it your own

Open the template, then use Add stream to paste another Twitch channel link, such as a runner's own channel, or a YouTube live link. The grid holds up to six streams in total, and the template itself is never changed by what you add.

Each tile starts muted. Unmute the run you want to hear, or turn on Audio focus in Settings so StreamTiles mutes the other whenever you unmute one.

How the layout is organized

The two channels open in Grid layout, so each gets an equal tile. In Focus and Cinema the first channel (Games Done Quick) becomes the large tile; to make the other the large one, switch to Grid, drag it to the first position, then switch back.

Who may find it useful

  • Following two speedrunning broadcasts at once during an event.
  • Keeping a runner's own channel next to an event channel by adding it as a third tile.
  • Starting from a ready-made grid and replacing tiles with the runners or events you follow.

The channels in this template are hosted by Twitch and published by third parties. StreamTiles is an independent viewing interface and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch, Games Done Quick, SpeedGaming or any other channel owner. A channel can be offline, renamed or removed, or its owner can restrict embedding, at any time — see Third-Party Content.

When you open it

  1. All two streams load together

The two configured Twitch streams open in the Grid layout. They start muted, so you choose what to hear.

  2. Each stream has its own controls

Mute, volume, play/pause and fullscreen work per stream, alongside play-all, pause-all and mute-all.

  3. You can adjust it for this visit

Change the layout, reorder tiles, remove a stream or add your own link (up to six in total). These changes are not saved, so reopening the template restores the original set.

  4. Your own grid stays untouched

A template never replaces or overwrites the streams in your regular StreamTiles workspace.

Questions about this template

Are these channels live right now?

StreamTiles can't say. The template links to channels, and a channel only has video while it is broadcasting. A tile for a channel that isn't broadcasting shows Twitch's offline screen.

Can I watch a recorded run in StreamTiles?

Not a Twitch video: Twitch videos (VODs) and clips can't be added. StreamTiles takes Twitch channel links and YouTube video or live links.
