YouTube Timestamp Link Generator
This tool turns a YouTube video link and a time into a link that starts playing from that moment. It finds the video ID in the link you paste, converts your time to whole seconds, and builds a clean youtube.com link with the timestamp added.
It all happens in your browser. Nothing is fetched from YouTube, no account or API key is involved, and the link isn't sent to a StreamTiles server. Watch, youtu.be, live, Shorts and embed links all work, and extras such as ?si= or &feature= are left out of the result.
How to create a YouTube timestamp link
- Copy a YouTube video URL.
- Paste it into the tool.
- Enter the time where playback should begin.
- Generate the link.
- Copy and share it.
What is a YouTube timestamp link?
A timestamp link is an ordinary YouTube link with a start time in it, written as t=330s for 5 minutes 30 seconds. When someone opens it, YouTube starts the video from that point instead of the beginning. It's handy for pointing a friend at one moment, a chapter in a long tutorial, or a section of a recorded live stream.
If the link you paste already has a start time, it is replaced, so the result never carries two.
How should I format a timestamp?
0:3030 seconds5:455 minutes 45 seconds1:05:301 hour 5 minutes 30 seconds
Use minutes and seconds (5:30) or hours, minutes and seconds (1:05:30). Seconds and minutes after an hour must be between 0 and 59. A plain number is read as seconds, and forms like 90s or 1h5m30s work too.

Frequently asked questions
How do I create a timestamp link on YouTube?
Copy the video's URL, paste it into the tool above, enter the time where playback should begin, and press Generate Timestamp Link. Then copy the link or open it on YouTube.
Can I use a youtu.be link?
Yes. Short youtu.be links work, and the result is a standard youtube.com watch link with your timestamp added.
Can I timestamp a YouTube Shorts URL?
The tool accepts supported Shorts URLs that contain a valid video ID and creates a timestamped link from it.
Can I timestamp a YouTube live stream?
Yes. The tool can generate a timestamped YouTube URL when the URL contains a valid video ID. It doesn't determine whether the stream is currently live.
Can I change an existing timestamp?
Yes. Paste a URL that already has a timestamp, enter the new time, and the old one is replaced. The result always has a single timestamp.
What if my timestamp is longer than the video?
The link is still created. The tool doesn't look up the video's length, so it can't tell whether the time falls inside the video. YouTube decides what happens when the link is opened.
Does StreamTiles store my YouTube links?
The tool itself doesn't store the links you enter or the links it creates, and it doesn't send them to a StreamTiles server. Everything is worked out in your browser.
